Mr. Vallarino has held significant positions in the banking and tourism sectors and served as Panama's Minister of Economy and Finance from 2009 to 2011. During this period, he was a board member of several companies, notably Cable & Wireless Panama S.A., Caja de Seguro Social, Banco Nacional de Panama, and Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica S.A. (ETESA). He was appointed to the Panama Canal Authority Board of Directors for a nine-year term starting February 19, 2013.
Alberto Vallarino served as Executive Director of Grupo Banistmo for 20 years and was General Manager and Executive Vice President of Industria Nacional de Plásticos S.A. (1975-1988) and Metalforma S.A., respectively.
His solid social commitment is demonstrated through his constant effort to promote multiple initiatives with significant social and educational impact. Mr. Vallarino is the President of Fundación Grupo VerdeAzul, supports the Foundation of Advanced Studies in Management (IESA-Panama), is a founder and lifetime member of the Child Competitiveness Institute of COSPAE, and is a representative of FUDESPA and the National Center for Competitiveness. Additionally, Mr. Vallarino served as President of the Industrial Work Union of Panama (1981-1982), the Latin American Industrialists Association (1982), and the Panamanian Exporters Association (1983).

Grupo VerdeAzul has developed iconic hotels such as the Bristol Panama Registry Collection, Marriott Panama and the Convention Center, Santa Maria Hotel & Golf Resort, and The Buenaventura Golf & Beach Resort.
In 2014, Mr. Vallarino became a board member of Banco Nacional, Panama's most prominent public bank, where he chaired the credit committee. In October 2017, he was appointed chairman of the Board of Directors, a position he held until 2019.
Before joining Grupo VerdeAzul in 2012, Mr. Vallarino co-founded Futurad, an outdoor digital signage company, and worked as a financial analyst for Banco Santander in Madrid, Spain, from 2010-2012.
Mr. Vallarino holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a master’s in Finance and Banking from the University of Alcalá, and a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.

She is currently the Executive Director of CALI Foundation, a non-profit organization promoting leadership and social innovation in Central America. She is also the Chairman of Fundación VerdeAzul, Grupo VerdeAzul's social responsibility arm, where she has been the Chief People Officer since late 2021.
Ana María is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and a Fellow of the Central America Leadership Initiative (CALI), one of the region’s most prestigious leadership networks. She is a founding member of the Association of Women Corporate Directors - Panama and the National Council for Gender Parity. Since 2019, she has also been a board member of Sumarse, an organization promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainability in Panama.
In the business world, Ana María co-owns Agua de Pipa, a resortwear boutique, and serves on the boards of Grupo VerdeAzul and VerdeAzul Hotels. Previously, she held leadership positions within Grupo VerdeAzul, overseeing the development and commercialization of Panama's real estate and tourism projects.
Beyond her private sector career, Ana María has actively participated in initiatives and projects to improve the quality of life for citizens in Panama. Her commitment was reflected in her active participation as Executive Director and Vice Chairman of the Board of Fundación TodoPanamá between 2020 and 2021.
Ana María is a mother of three teenagers and a certified Health Coach and yoga teacher. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Virginia in 2004.

Before joining GVA, Diego Ferrer served from 2010 to 2012 as Deputy Director of the Public Credit Directorate and Deputy Director of the Investments, Concessions, and State Risks Directorate at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Panama. In these roles, he executed capital market transactions exceeding $1.5 billion, managed over $1.2 billion in financial assets, and led the team that designed the Panama Savings Fund (FAP), the nation's sovereign fund.
Earlier in his career, Diego Ferrer served as an Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Panama in Washington D.C. (2006-2009) and worked at Banco General (2004-2006).
Diego holds an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain (Beta Gamma Sigma), an MA in International Relations from the University of Louisville, and a BA in Economics from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Before joining Grupo VerdeAzul, Adrián worked as the Strategic Planning Manager at Copa Airlines (2006-2010), where he was responsible for developing the company’s growth strategy. He also worked in the Panamanian real estate sector as a member of Arco Properties.
In 2011, Adrián received an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid (Beta Gamma Sigma), and in 2005, he earned degrees in Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University.

Her specialty is based on more than 10 years of professional experience focused on human resources consulting services to various organizations in Panama. She has been actively involved in the Trust for the Americas Initiative POETA, the Organization of American States, aimed at providing educational tools to socially disadvantaged people in the Changuinola area.
Esmeralda Parrilla joined Grupo VerdeAzul in 2013 and has since developed and managed human resources processes and policies, career development programs, and compensation programs.

Mr. Alvarado has held positions in both public and private administration. He served 18 years at the Panama Canal, from 1989 to 2008, where he held interim managerial positions such as: Manager of the Interiors Section, Manager of the Miraflores Potable Water Plant, and Manager of the Engineering Division, as well as permanent positions such as: Manager of the Exteriors Section, Manager of the Towing Rails Section, and Manager of the Civil Engineering Section, and finally as Manager of the Dredging, Signaling, and Cranes Division where he was responsible for managing annual investment and operational budgets of around $100 million, as well as leading a team of over 900 specialized professionals and technicians. During his years at the Canal, he consistently received annual performance excellence and superior performance recognitions when not promoted to new positions.
From January 2020 to June 2020, he served as Executive Director of the Public Infrastructure Coordination Unit at the Ministry of the Presidency of the Republic of Panama. In this position, he led the PMO Office, responsible for organizing and structuring 17 projects of the Government's Strategic Plan, with an estimated value of $750 million. He is currently a board member of MiBus.
Manuel Alvarado’s career in the private sector is distinguished by his leadership in large-scale projects and his contribution to infrastructure development in Panama. His knowledge and skills in the engineering field and his outstanding performance in executive positions have made him an influential figure in the construction and real estate development sector in his country.
He started as a Project Engineer at Aoki Corporation and Dillon Construction from 1987 to 1989.
From 2008 to 2021, Manuel Alvarado held the position of President at Construcciones, Diseños y Consultoría (CODICO, S.A.) and Ingeniería y Consultoría PP, S.A., a consulting firm with more than 20 years of experience in Panama. During his tenure, this company participated in prominent projects such as the Panama Pacifico Development, the Punta Pacifica Islands, and many real estate execution projects. His clients included distinguished private and public companies such as Grupo Los Pueblos, Gas Natural Fenosa, Panama Pacifico Development, Ministry of Public Works, and Buenaventura Tourist Development.
Since 2021, Manuel Alvarado has assumed the role of Vice President of Real Estate Development at Grupo VerdeAzul. He manages Architecture Design, Project Execution, and Real Estate Legal Management. He manages a real estate investment portfolio of over $50 million for Grupo Verdeazul.

Mr. Miranda has extensive financial experience in the hotel sector. For over 10 years, he was the Financial Controller for prestigious Marriott hotels in Miami, Florida. He also served as the Financial Controller for Gansevoort Miami Beach Hotel, Spa & Residences, now 1 Hotel South Beach.
David graduated in Finance and Banking from Santa Maria La Antigua University in Panama and holds an MBA with an emphasis in International Business from Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri.

He previously held General Manager positions at hotels of brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and Starwood in various countries. His past experiences include hotels such as Marriott Tegucigalpa, Honduras (2003-2006), and JW Marriott in Quito, Ecuador (2007-2008); in the United States, the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova (2008-2009), Sheraton Gateway SFO, Hilton San Francisco Airport (2009-2010), and Hilton Charlotte Center City (2010). In Panama, Wyndham Panama Albrook Mall, now Marriott Panama, has been open since its opening in 2013.
Glenn Simon graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Magna Cum Laude, 1982. He was President of the Penn State Catering Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He received an athletic scholarship for his gymnastic skills.

He represents the Group in various associations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture, and ACOBIR. He is a member of the Presidential Advisory Council of INCAE.
He was a member of the Boards of Directors of Cervecería Nacional S.A., Banistmo Family Funds S.A., Inmobiliaria Valle del Rey, and Banistmo Real Estate Fund.

Before coming to Latin America, he spent 20 years holding numerous leadership positions in Paris, Greece, Dubai, New York, and Spain with Starwood, Marriott, and Jumeirah hotels.
Throughout his years of service, Héctor has gained proven leadership experience during 10 openings and renovations in hospitality operations, positioning, sales, and associate development.
Héctor received a bachelor's degree from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne. Before entering the hotel industry, Héctor studied film and drama and remains committed to creating a memorable show.
Héctor now resides in Panama with his wife Marta and their children Elena, Alejandro, and Darío. He has participated on the boards of the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Freedom and Human Rights, the Committee of Friends of the Churches of the Old Quarter, and the Panama Viejo Quincentennial Commission.
González de Mena previously served as an advisor to the UN, Executive Director of the Inter-American Council for Commerce and Production (CICYP), and the U.S.-Panama Business Council (USPA). He also coordinated the presidential commissions that managed the creation of the Panama Canal Authority, the Interoceanic Region Authority, and the Transition Plan for the Transfer of the Panama Canal.
Ricardo González stood out as Panama's Ambassador to the OAS, leading several inter-American commissions for development and drug prevention, supervising the Summit of the Americas and the FTAA process, and coordinating the lobbying that obtained for Panama the headquarters of this negotiation process.
