We work for the country's agro-industrial sector
Agroindustrial Santa Monica is a company whose vision is to promote the horticultural industry in Panama to satisfy the local market and then export food. It consists of 2 hectares of greenhouses where melon, watermelon, and cucumber are grown to 30 hectares to expand production.
Agroindustrial Santa Mónica also promotes agricultural education, research and development, and the promotion of investments in technological agriculture by signing a memorandum of understanding with Universidad Latina de Panamá and Interworld Panamá.
Lechería Santa Mónica is a dairy project in association with the U.S. company Alliance Dairies, an alliance that aims to become the country’s leading milk producer.
The project currently produces more than 2,000 liters daily, with 120 milking cows and 320 animals. By the end of 2017, it is estimated that Lechería Santa Mónica will have 350 milking cows and 650 animals in total, as one of the business objectives is also to supply the country’s milk processing companies. The current production is mainly marketed among the cheese factories in Panama.
